1. I Hate to Burst Your Bubble…

    I found this short and interesting article online about a tattooer’s opinion on tattoos and subculture right now. Reading it reminded me of my early college days, when I began getting heavily tattooed and having friends look at me like I was crazy or making comments of how I was trying to be some “hardcore kid”; which I have never claimed to be or even knew what that name was about at that time.

    In a matter of just a few years, now look at them…

    When I started getting tattooed in the late 90s, which wasn’t all that long ago, it was still a subversive culture. A lot has changed in that short amount of time. Tattoos totally play into our vanities as a society right now. But if you know anything about history you will know that tattooing popularity comes and goes. I’m telling you the truth when I say that it was never acceptable to be a heavily tattooed woman in society in the 80s and 90s, and even before.
